Day 79 Bridger’s sticky head

Bridger is doing well. We got to lower his meds again this week! We are still planning to go home for Thanksgiving and have even talked to Bridger about it. I think it is going to be hard for him to come back to Houston but he will have a blast being home. Below is some pictures of Bridger’s sticky head. He can balance books, toys and and anything else he tries yet nothing falls off. He thinks he is so tricky, and I am always amazed.

I was talking with my oldest sister today and we were discussing crazy things we have seen in the month of November. I saw a motorcyclist talking on his cell phone while driving!!! What was he thinking? If the words “what were they thinking” have crossed your mind recently feel free to vent here. (This is for you Em)

This is a knitting ring for hats but he put it on his sticky head and said “I am King Bridger” in a deeper tone.

Bridger is so cute...and looks so good. I'm glad you will get to go home for Thanksgiving, that will be a nice break for all of you.

So....the crazy thing I saw ....
While I was working out @ the Gym, the gal next to me was on a bike eating a bag of chips. Em would have loved it!!!!

OK, I've been dying to share this and if one of your friends is this lady I am sorry to offend but please don't put me in such a position that I have to stare to see if this is really happening again! OK, while in Walmart I noticed a very well groomed lady walk. I then had to double take as she was wearing 4 inch heels with her jeans and had yellow leg warmers up to her knees and tucked into her pumps. UGH! This woman was old enough to know better becasue a)she's already lived through the leg warmer phase, and b) she was too old to be trying to be a fashion diva especially in Walmart! Love the bag of chips story though it may be even better than yellow legwarmers (they were the fuzzy knit ones).

Ohh, I saw a guy leave the gym today and not 2 feet out the door light up a cigarette.

Glad Bridger likes his sticky head and that you still got the green light for a Thanksgiving Home!

That chip story is hilarious:) I am so happy that you will be getting to go home for thanksgiving!!:) Bridger looks so good:) I am also amazed at his sticky head:) SOOO What are your plans for you BIRTHDAY!!! Coming up??!! I hope it will be a special day for you and I wish I could be there to celebrate with you!

Ashlyn loved his sticky head too:) She told me she wished she didn't have hair either:) so she could do that cool trick.

Hang in there and enjoy being home!!!! Loves!!!

Something crazy I have seen-well I wouldn't say crazy but rather amazing was humans swimming with killer whales at sea world- I loved it!

From the mouth of Bridger

While taking down an air mattress Bridger was playing like it was his sinking ship and that I was his rescuer. Once we were safely onto our individual rescue rafts (aka pillows) I said, while making a paddling motion “Hurry and paddle, paddle fast”. Bridger slowly turned his head toward mine and said in a dua mom tone of voice “I have a motor” then decided to add “and if that doesn’t work I have a two headed paddle so I can still go fast”.

I was in the kitchen and Bridger was sitting over the arm of the couch when he dropped something he was playing with. He began to ask me to come pick it up for him. “Pleas mom will you come pick this up for me”. I was half ignoring him thinking he can get down and get it. He was persistent “Mom pleas will you help me mom pleas…Jesus is going to put you on his naughty list if you don’t help me” I just thought at least he knows whose list is important.

Trying to convince me to let him play video games he said “mom I really insist”

Bridger’s Grandma got her hair cut short a little shorter than she wanted. Bridger kept looking at it and so Grandma asked “Did you see grandma cut her hair” Bridger “Does Grandpa like?” Grandma “yes” Bridger “Do you like it?” Grandma “Not really” Bridger “I think you look adorable!”

After Going to the bathroom Bridger was holding the toilet paper and said “When I just see this toilet paper I think of God…a pause… It reminds me of Heavenly Father and Jesus”. I said “Well it is the White Cloud brand. Trying not to lol I asked what about the toilet paper makes you think of them? Bridger “I just do”. Mom “Is it the color, or maybe the pattern”? Bridger “The color”.

While sitting down to a small dinner including chips homemade avocado dip that Bridger helped make, a casserole and some fresh veggies. Bridger shouts out as soon as the prayer ended “WHAT A FEAST!”

While watching the first part of Wizard of Oz, specifically the part when Dorothy first walks out of her house into Oz, Bridger turned and asked “Is heaven beautiful”? I said “yes it is” He said “More beautiful than this?” referring to oz with its 1939 plastic flowers and back drops. I said “yes much more” still in aw, he said “this is beautiful enough”.

Swatting at fruit flies with no success he stopped and proclaimed “They think I’m I a fruit!”

Bridger bent his big toe nail back trying to move a basket. He was in a lot of pain. I said “come here and let me see” he said “It’s as red as a burnt pancake”.

Waiting for the Dr. Bridger let me play his DS Game. I actually completed a short level. Bridger in an optimistic voice said “Good job Mom…I’m impressed”!

I asked Bridger if he thought it would be fun if his Dad brought his bike down this weekend so they could ride bikes together. Bridger hesitated and said “What if he can’t keep up with me”

One night I told Bridger a bed time story about how Blake and I met. I mentioned that we flirted long before we started dating even though dad would never admit to it. Then later in the story I mentioned we flirted while we dated. I went on to tell him about us getting married and a year and 3 months later we had a wonderful baby boy. At the end of the story he said “You and Dad sure flirted a lot”.

Bridger wanted to play with his Nerf gun so I suggested some targets for him to shoot at. His reply was. “You could just be my target”

As a nurse was leaving his room he turned and said, “Ta Ta”. Then he said, “Mom that’s Spanish for good bye.”
